This Is The End…

As some of you may have guessed, if indeed anybody is still reading this, Droid Arcade has pretty much shut down. Why? We didn’t have the time. Whilst we started out enthusiastic, it soon trickled down to just myself doing posts, and then I stopped. I lost motivation. In part this was down to me spending time creating an app, Daddy Gave Me A Phone, as well as just not finding as much time to […]

[Review] Lego Speedorz

I’m not sure I fully understand the context of this game, due to it having a tie in with some Lego I am too old for, and my children are too young for, so I may not appreciate some of it. Lego Speedorz is a very kid friendly racing game. You get to customise your character with items you pick up, and pick from a number of Speedorz. You then race these against an […]

Site Updates

Hi All, Again, yes, we haven’t been posting much of late. I’ve been a little wrapped up in development of my android app, Daddy Gave Me a Phone, and Lewis has been busy with the launch Ready Player 2. And Jamie? Well, his was busy with his exams, and then he has been eaten alive by Animal Crossing. But on the plus side, the site has started to see some updates to the layout. It […]

[Review] Pocket Rally

I quite like racing games, even more so when the chance to have some fun flicking the back end of a rally car around some hair pins is there. Pocket Rally seems to free this, but is it actually any good? Based on the unity3D engine, Pocket Rally is, yup you guessed it, a rally game for Android. Featuring 5 rally cars that are easy to recognise, you complete time trials and races in 4 […]

[Review] Carmageddon

For me, this was possibly one of the most anticipated games to come to Android. 15 years after it’s initial release I still vividly remember the voice of the announcer, the joy of managing to destroy one of the police enforces to pocket all that glorious money, driving through the stadium on the first level to get to the electro ray, and bombing it down the straight to get some quick time and profit so […]

[Review] Air Patriots

Air Patriots is a weird one to explain. I’m sure you’ve all at some point played a game similar to Air Control, and all played a tower defence game. Well, take those 2, throw them together, and that is Air Patriots. You have a set of planes you control, much the same as (identically to) in Air Control type games; Draw a flight path and let it get on with it. Only these planes have […]

[News] Carmageddon is out.

It came! It finally came! All those hours spent running over zombies crashing into Princess Beef Curtains and performing cunning stunts can be relieved in all its glory, now on your Android devices. I’ve had a quick play and it does seem to be the same as I remember. The onscreen controls on my One S are a bit cramped, but it is still enjoyable. Anyways, go get it from the below.

[Review] PUK

Simple games for me, seem to fall into one of 2 categories. Fun, or mind numbingly boring. Mind numbingly boring cam be something like, say Paper Toss and crap like that. Conversely, simple games such as Hill Climb Racing can be entertaining for a very long time. Even if, like me, you have the attention space of a goldfish that is in the process of playing chess whilst being eaten by a team cat. PUK […]

Why I Don’t Care About the GameStick Being Late

It may come as know surprise to you all that I can be rather pedantic, and impatient. This is something that all of you who follow me on twitter would likely have picked up on from time to time (Or constantly). So imagine my annoyance when Gamestick announced that they would be 2 months late, and instead of shipping in April, will be late June. Don’t get me wrong, I know it is very rare […]
